Some feedback:

allb: A simple but lovely village shot. Maybe try adding a fence or some kind of object to further indicate this is a village.

Shoshon the Elegant: Definitely feels like an experiment has taken place... A bit cluttered but not too much to detract readability.

Anthus: Voted here, there's something quite charming about this screen.

Orithan: Pretty nice palette and screen, I'm not sure on the stacked walls but they get the job done.

xanadude: It's a nice screen. The waterfall looks like it's falling from the sky instead of falling off the mountain however.

FireSeraphim: Looks pretty brutal. I really love the Face Shrine visuals, although maybe a contrasting coloured floor would be nice.

Nulled.

allb: A good improvement. I'm not fond of the vertically stacked trees, and the screen could use some variation.

Shoshon: I like this a lot. Though, up top, the crystals looks odd due to their coloring, and I have no idea what the thing in the middle is. But good stuff.

Anthus: I really like the screen in terms of structure. But I am not a fan of the palette. It looks like their is a film over the whole screen.

Orithan: This is cool, I dig the symmetry of the whole thing. But the stacked walls, like Shane said, are a little jarring.

FireSeraphim: I love the aesthetics and the structure. The only things I don't like is that it seems extremely troublesome and difficult just looking at it. lol

Would've voted for FireSeraphim.

allb: Basically exactly what Shane said.

Shoshon: Wish the secret blocks and pots blended in more.

Anthus: Love the colors and composition.

Orithan: Love the colored floor paths, the wall choice and the symmetry.

xanadude: Love that it's black and white. Pretty well structured, but the waterfall goes down too far. Try bringing the bottom up one tile.

FireSeraphim: Love the atmosphere and colors. The white lines are a bit distracting, from a screenshot sense to me. Looking nice though.

Voting for Orithan.

@Shoshon the Elegant: I don't think you're aware of this but there's a certain unspoken rule/gentlemen's agreement among SOTW participants where the submitter don't vote for themselves or their rivals simply to ensure the voting process is fair and unbiased. If I were you I would remove the vote you just made and null your vote, simply because I don't it's a good idea to break the unspoken rule/gentlemen's agreement.

It's a polite thing to do, but it's not required. You can vote for whoever you want, even yourself.

Try bringing the bottom up one tile.

That's how the GB Zeldas were.

Had to go with Xanadude for a super-appealing screen! I really like it! It has this natural and relaxing feel to it.

The others didn't speak to me, and a certain few seemed rather chaotic with clashing colors and all.

Yeah, it's just a weird "tradition" to null vote, but isn't a requirement.

Actually, that's the one of the only cases where it happened... :P

These two maps show that they follow what Shoshon suggested actually.

Yup, it's quite alright to do, and it is mentioned in the Screenshot of the Week rules that it's quite alright to do so.

The convo is basically over. But my whole viewpoint has always been like this...

If I see something I really like, I'll vote for it. Unless it's my own. I also feel people have just as much chance being biased whether in or out.

So I've never gone for that or any unspoken agreement. I have my own honor code I go by. I'm not really the type of person to choose with a biased mindset either.

I'm a very impartial person when it comes to having an opinion on their work.
