After quite a bit of time, the contest is finally over! Here are the final results:

And so, with a very tight contest between Geoffrey and Sheik, Geoffrey emerged victorious! Huge congratulations to you for winning Map of the Year 2017! I gotta say, 2017 was quite a fantastic year when it came to all the maps. There was a bit of a slow start but it feels great to take over and keep this going, it's nice to see people still care about the contest. There was definitely quite a bit of creativity I've seen with a lot of the maps this year, and some were very unique too. So to quickly close off, I want to thank all of those who submitted over the last year and those who have participated in voting as well! Let's hope 2018 will be another great year of maps!
