Mission Statement
So, ever since around 2013-2014, I've had a vision for a remake of the original Zelda. I know what you're probably thinking, we already have a bunch of remakes in progress or finished for Zelda 1. The reason I am working on my own is that I hope to do a more faithful "remake" of sorts. Every other sort of project is either outdated, or aims to do a retelling of the game that makes it very different from the original. With my remake, I hope to keep the game more in line with the original; adding fixes to problems that made the original feel clunky, and adding the design philosophy of the later games to make the original feel more in line with Link's Awakening or A Link to the Past. This is a straight up a remake, not a retelling. Think of this more as Majora's Mask 3D, not as A Link Between Worlds. That is why I think there is a place for this game
Progress So Far
So far, I have not finished much. I started again from the ground up, so it's gonna be awhile until I get to the same progress I had when I first started.
But what I have finished, I am really proud of. Like the original, I am not going to have any focus on story. Just the gameplay, really. I have finished the title screen, which I am really proud of. I don't usually make my own graphics, but I think it paid off in the long run!

I also finished the starting cave. One addition I made is that I created a tiny little cavern you have to navigate to get to the main item, the sword. (Note: There will be enemies inside lol)

And I think that's it for this update. Peace out homies
