So I've got 28 hours into the game and I've seen both endings. I have completed everything but missing the following:

1) One ring in the top right of the block. I'm assuming it's a stamina ring and assuming no rings have upgrades?

2) Guitar - The guy for this I read was in Lion's area in the top right but the old man says the same things he always does and the guy in the house just asks for gems. Which leads into the next thing I'm missing.

3) One gem (not skill gems). I found the one by the critical ring and the one just south of Sandgaze Village in the grass. Where is the third?

4) Missing 3 HCPs. Sad not to find them all but I have walked all over the maps several times with the lens and I've not found them. I have all 8 found in the temples. I'm assuming this is related to the missing gem?

So here is my assessment of the game:

Complexity - The game was very complex with lots of backtracking that can be annoying at times especially in some of the dungeons. The boss fights admittedly are almost absurd and should be done better but it doesn't detract from the complex puzzles and mazes that leave you scratching your head.

Originality - This game was very much original in storyline and in use of some of the equipment. I was pleased that it didn't feel exactly just "Like another Zelda game" but had a fresh and unique experience.

Graphics - The graphics were surprisingly good and very smooth. I didn't notice any visual glitches. Enemy and player movements are smooth and flawless though I wish there was less sensitivity when it came to pushing blocks. An accidental tap can get frustrating a lot especially when a enemy hits you and knocks you away.

Wasted Time - This should be mitigated with more warp locations than those provided by mule and eagle services. There are lots of shortcuts yes in some areas but it doesn't really save you a lot of walking in the grand scheme of things. People enjoy getting into the story and dungeons and walking through the same areas for long distances, especially after dying, is mindboggling. And I've played games that require lots of walking but this is the first I find myself getting bored constantly going through areas again and again. Make it so more travel services open upon getting to new destinations maybe? Over 90% won't get the quest for the guitar from what I've seen of some online playthroughs. Because it doesn't start or isn't in the Frozen Waste as pointed out. Or make the guitar easier to get or fix whatever bugs surround it.

Bugs - I found a few bugs but can only recall 4 off the top of my head at the moment though there were more. I've had to start a new game several times as a result of some.

     1) Talking to the gem guy BEFORE finding a gem causes a black screen with no text and then you can't do ANYTHING.

     2) Bomb bags. I get you are supposed to get the 5 bomb bag first from the Librarian but getting the 10 one before glitches the game so you can't progress any further.

     3) Boss 2 I think it is has a glitch that still drops you into a room with bats. I saw this posted earlier in the thread and you acknowledged removing it but the glitch/bug is still there.

     4) Guitar piece for quest isn't appearing in the Frozen Waste spot. Not sure if there is a problem with this side quest or what?

Overall Assessment: I would recommend this highly and have to some of my streamer friends with caveats to avoid some of the bug issues I've discovered. Great game that is about 95% there. Which is VERY surprising with a world this big. It would be night to access the other continent content maybe after the game is beaten on the "Good" ending. Or access the ships and so forth that you just have there cosmetically. Or access the rest of the Rebonite Lair. There is so much more that can be done with a game that is already huge as you already added those possibilities.

Suggestion, compile a list of the known bugs and put it into a document in zip file of the quest for people to read first before playing it so they don't possibly ruin their experiences with the game. I've known at least two people personally who quit this game because of this very issue.

Thanks a lot for playing and your feedback Craius! Much appreciated :-)

I'm still planning to do quite big update to Crystal Crusades at some point, mainly to make scripted bosses (all the bosses you see in this game are made using warps and other old-fashioned tricks before Zelda Classic featured adding your own scripts). I will definitely try to process your feedback also.

As for the missing gem

Spoiler

On which version of ZC were you playing? That might also explain some of the bugs and will help me to fix them.

2.53 build 33, April 17, 2019. It's the only downloadable version on the official site since they lost the source code. I used to have other versions but had a HD go to crap and I had to reinstall everything. Still lost a lot. Oh well...

Found the third gem. Thanks for that. So that leaves me with only 3 HCPs and the final ring lost to me. Heh. Oh well... I still enjoyed the game. When you do the next update I might have to replay it and see how I fare with it.

Ah alright, there is a new website now for the latest versions of ZC: https://zquestclassic.com

I realise now that I should also replace the URLs to that on my own website.

Also I'm thinking about having the reward of that last gem be obtained in another way, so that it can't be missed. It's too essential of an item. That will also be tackled in the future update.

Thanks again!
