The Legend of Zelda: Sanctuary Tree
Not much progress as of late

As I said, all of this is just proof of concept. The project plans are not set in stone entirely as of yet and all I really have to go by so far is that this is a sequel to Oracle of Seasons and there will be no forced dungeon order. I'm currently aiming for an 8x8 overworld but that might change since the design can be a challenge at time and I don't want to make too many sacrifices. That and the design is just way too cramped at times (I'm looking at my Sunken City map when I say this). We'll see I suppose. I can't wait to start proper development but in the mean time I just wanted to actually announce progress will resume soon enough after this update and that this project isn't dead.
And a tidbit of information: I might start Tomb of Hues (a mini dungeon) after Frypolar Volcano. Tomb of Hues is inspired by an existing official Zelda dungeon and will be expanding from that. But what dungeon could that be? :o

I've thought long and hard about this, but I think I've come to the conclusion that the Tomb of hues will be based off of... Royal Crypt!!! I think this is a very solid theory, because tombs and crypts both house dead things, so they are in common! Seriously now, I am quite intrigued by how you could expand on Color Dungeon to make a really cool gimmick!
It is Color Dungeon, right? I hope I'm not just really dumb...

What made you decide to shrink the map?

Looks good. Shrinking the map is definitely not a bad thing, as long as it puts more meaning on having every area/screen mean something.

Really nice work here. Even by shrinking maps everything actually looks very solid and still looks like it came from the real game. I completely understand not doing much progress with Sanctuary Tree, just take as much time as you want with that.
