First up is one designed by a good friend of mine, whom I will refer to as Jora. You could more or less say this is the cover art for my quest~ They guy is very talented and it shows!

Second up is this bust shot of the main protagonist, Sona Armista, done by another good friend I will refer to as Dutch. This also gives you a little peek at how Sona should look closing in to the halfway point of the game. 'Cuz capes are cool and all that.~

Finally and most recently was an art trade I did with someone named Hazoid. For his half, I asked him to depict Sona avoiding danger in a dungeon, and this was the result! Really love how he went sort of Wind-Waker-ish with Sona on this one...Toon Sona? Perhaps~.

Now then, with the little fanart showcase done, onto actual game progress! Though I don't have any screens or anything to show, I do have a fair bit to discuss and tell....without spoilers, of course! I'm currently working on the first major area the player will travel to, namely Monsira Forest (which you saw a screen of on the last update). Monsira Forest will be like many other forests in Zelda fashion, namely dense trees with light peeking out from the sunlight above. However, as mentioned, the critters of the forest are restless...something is amiss there. Deep in the forest is an old training barracks called the Arbiter's Hold, where the Protectors (Sona's legacy) trained there should the taint of evil ever come back. What will be known when you get there, though, is that they also were working on constructs to help fight off the demons...but alas they never got proper use, and though the Protectors passed on, the constructs kept going.
The player will have to fight off these constructs, as time has worn down on their deviation from good and evil. The dungeon will consist of one large first floor and a small basement, which will house the boss. The first major item in the game? It's the Hammer...well, a large wooden one at least. It won't be as powerful as the standard ZC hammer, but it still does it's job of breaking (most) shields and armor, some of the constructs having these.
That all said, I dare not spoil anything else just yet...gotta keep some element of surprise! Hope you all enjoyed the artwork and the little peek into the first major area and dungeon.~ Until next time!
