It is actually supposed to be a beautiful castle, but now is in ruins because of the Rebonite invasion. So sadly that name wouldn't work, but still thanks for the suggestion.

@Lightwulf: Ah, I already wasn't so sure about it's plural. I will name it Yamuta's Rubble then, because I was look for a different word than ruins. One area is named "... Ruins" already, that's why. If you know an even better word for it, I'm definitely interested.  :)

Well, you could use "Remains", though a lot of people might associate that word with "human remains" which is definitely not a building...  :-/

You could also use "Wreck" or "Wreckage", but those words tend to refer to ruined vehicles...  :|

One other possible word to use would be "Waste".  It's not what you should use most of the time, but I would use it if you're looking for a unique word that fits (other than "Rubble", of course, which is fine if you prefer it).

- Either that, or if you want to imply that the place is rapidly becoming more ruined, you could use the word "Decay".

- Other good words with slightly alternate implications are "Downfall", "Havoc", or "Loss".

- (BTW, the way I found these words was by doing a Google search for "synonyms of ruins".  The Thesaurus.com website it what I selected to find these words.  If you use that site, though, you have to make sure you understand the definitions of the words listed before you decide on using a word from the list.)

Hope these suggestions help.  If you prefer to keep it as "Yamuta's Rubble", that's fine, too. ;)

@Lightwulf: Now, remains sounds much better when thinking about it. I looked up synonyms as well, but somehow "remains" didn't seem appealing then. But yes, it's basically the best description of the area. It's the remains of what was a beautiful castle town. Thank you!

So, now it's time to conclude the progress on this area, seeing it's pretty much done. This indeed means that NTCC is nearing finish, but let's not be too eager here, because being eager (myself) with NTAEL caused it to have many bugs on release. Besides, there is still a lot to do (level 9, sidequests and such).

But it would hardly be a conclusion if I didn't show some of the stuff I've made in this overworld.

Here you see more greens in Halador Tundra. Some broken pillars block the road and Nargad needs to find another way it seems.

Another shot from the now renamed Yamuta's Remains (thanks Lightwulf). Many rubble and skeletons here. If one looks closely, one can see the Darknut sprites in NTCC, which are translucent, way better visible in-game.

Now this is something I normally wouldn't show, because it's so revealing. This is the Rebonite fortress from which the invasion of Yamuta's Kingdom begun. This is the only fortress in the quest where the player can actually enter it. The patras are Rebonite warlocks, floating with fire surrounding them. The smaller enemies are Rebonite "babies", I call them Crawlers. They aren't full grown yet. This might be the first time I've shown Rebonite sprites.

Also, I've decided I'll include the following suggested content (from this thread):

  • Dimentio's "Ice Dragon Cavern", but a bit smaller.
  • Lightwulf's "Rebonite shop", with a hint of selling icecream, but not to Nargad.
  • Ghosts telling background story, like Zolias suggested.
  • Many skeletons, undead enemies, icy traps and snowy blockades like Shane, Stray Sheep and Nightmeres suggested.

I hope you guys are excited to explore these lands.
