I know right, who makes a game without planning the final boss in advance? Me apparently.
Regardless, I'm currently working on some tweaks.
1. Time Freeze re-work.
A lot of people have said that it's a bit over powered and just wrecks everything. To them I say: That's the point.
Anyway, I decided to make some changes and minor nerfs to it so it does not break everything:
- Time expansion now caps out at magic level 10. Meaning that if your magic level is higher than 10 (Pure magic builds), then it will have the same length as it does on 10.
- Freezes more things! Specifically: Health and magic regeneration does not happen while time is frozen. Shield and wall spells don't go down in time either.
2. Fixing some puzzle logic.
Basically, some things were hard to figure out, specifically a few late game things. And while I don't want to make any major changes to the design of the last floor, I have made one of the hardest things about it a bit more obvious, I have also thrown in more of a build-up for it. Light arrows are also harder to miss now.
3. More enemies.
Added a few new enemies, firstly is the woodfly type enemy. They are somewhat similar to bats, but they work slightly different. They are mostly found early game, but it should help with the enemy variety a bit~
Stratum 4 also got a few harder version of enemies. In beta build 0.8 I realised that tension kinda went away at the very end, since the enemies barely did anything. So, another level of wizzrobes, and darknuts were added. Plus, splitting darknuts, because why not? :3
I might need to nerf these, but that will be looked at once I roll out beta 0.9. (Which will happen when the final boss is done.
4. Stuff.
There is now a secondary, slightly faster, route to take in stratum 1 after you have the power bracelet. There is really nothing much to it, what-so-ever, but I felt like adding it, so why not?
5. More hints and junk.
Not really done anything on this front yet, but I kinda want to add more dialogue from your fairy. A few more hints are needed in regards to some things as-well, so I'll need to do something about that.
Sadly I did not hit the December release date, which is gonna suck, but that's just how it goes, right? We're getting there at least, and hopefully this will need less post-release patching than the first LoL.
