Issues:

1. Link obtains the sword and hard to read text pops up.

2. I cannot get rid of the text as I explore the screen.

 

​Solutions (in respective order):

1. Use a border. In the string editor there is a second tab called Attributes. There is a black box there, so click that and pick a 2x2 border which will automatically stretch for you. So be careful with what you choose.

2. I'm not exactly sure if this is the correct solution, but go to Quest -> Rules -> Other and check Message Freezes All Action and Messages Disappear.

Issue:

I can walk on top of the log, which is not intended obviously. 

 

Solution

There are 6 layers. Put the log on a separate layer, higher than 2, preferably 3 or 4 as any higher will cause odd visual effects on Peahats and such.

Issues:

1. I seem to obtain the flippers twice. One is cryptically hidden and the other is easily given away. What gives?

Edit: Also second chest disappears. What's up with that?

2. Why have scripts when you're using 2.10 styled chests?

3. Link's position in the first minimap... it's oddly positioned.

 

​Solutions (in respective order):

2. Set the chest to Treasure Chest (Normal) in the combo editor (right click the chest -> edit combo) and place Flag 10 (Armos/Chest -> Item) which can also be done in the combo editor. If my suspicion serves correctly it should be done, but if it isn't, follow the previous instructions. Now, set the room by going Screen -> Room Type and setting it to Special Item. Now go to Screen -> Special Item and set it to the desired item.

3. Set the house DMap type to anything but Overworld.

Issues:

1. Link and enemy AI can walk on water.

2. Blue tunic? This soon? I'm not even finished with Level 1...

 

​Solutions (in respective order):

1. Make sure all your water combos are set to water via doing the combo editor method stated above. There is a quest rule that allows Link to drown if that was your intentions here. Just go to Quest -> Rules -> Combos and tick the first one! Just make sure you water is not solid and the Water combo type is set.
2. Maybe something less overpowered? Like a Heart Container Piece?
 
Additional Tips/Questions:
1. Please make the text seen when entering the Earth Temple easier to read, or remove it altogether. Sadly text borders can't be applied here.
2. Can Earth Temple be finished? I tried everything to no avail. After I get two keys, a map, compass, and the second set of flippers, I'm permanently stuck. If there is a way to progress, there's no sense of direction. Anyway to progress?
3. Speaking of the map, I don't think it works? It's not showing up...
4. Wizzrobes in Level 1? Too overpowered, even if there's only two. I can easily handle them but logically they still don't fit in a Level 1 environment.
5. Change bat enemies to Keese, please.
6. Give more detail on the overworld and dungeon, it looks empty. And make sure to close off out of bound areas with solid tiles!
7. Near the spike room, I would switch that key's location with the map. Getting keys should always require some challenge.
 
EZGBZ 1.0?
You seem to be using EZGBZ 1.0, my suggestion (and it's my hugest one here) is to perhaps remake this in EZGBZ 2.5 by Lightwulf as that is more user friendly and has updated features and more tiles! Please consider!

 

That's all I have ATM. I like some things, like the Earth Temple palette (though the reds and purples are a little too dark), and you giving a shot at custom(?) midis. Keep improving, you got something perhaps going here, but needs a lot of improvement, but seeing it's in its early stages, that is to be expected, so don't be discouraged!

Also additionally, I can access the snow realm(?) but the palette is incorrect and I can't seem to access most of the overworld. Try the winter palette for one? And set the DMap to Overworld.

OK, round 2 eh? Here we go:

 

Initial notes:

- I would still suggest putting a text border around your messages.

- Good job on fixing the water!

- You only seemed to have applied the "real chest" to the flippers, and nothing else.

- Map still doesn't work

- Set your Earth Temple DMap to a dungeon type and "draw" the map. The option will be provided on the first tab once you set it to dungeon.

- You can get perma-stuck if entering the winter realm or Jabu Jabu.

- Earth Temple (the first level out of... four?) seems too short.

EDIT: - Also the log doesn't seem to have been fixed.

- BETA TEST YOUR OWN QUEST! You could avoid most bugs here if you beta test. :P

 

With that said, here are the new issues:

I still suggest hiding the key (the one above) in this room and swap the map.

The stairs have lead me here! I'm stuck! Don't use Scrolling Warp, use Insta Warp or anything of the sort instead.

I can skip the boss. Put a shutter on the door, stick Flag 16 on it, and go to Screen -> Secret Combos and go to Misc and see the square of squares? Click the first one, and choose the floor tile. Now, go to Screen -> Screen Data -> E.Flags and check Enemies -> Secret, and I believe that will give you a working shutter!

Use SIDE WARP to warp Link out of the dungeon. Just use Insta Warp again here.

Okay, so I found several bugs, and also things that I feel should be changed, but Shane has already found and reported a lot of them.  So in addition to those, these are things that I found:

I think the Flippers are in an obscure location.  To fix this, maybe put a hint in this Info Shop.

Block off areas that aren't finished yet, it allows sequence breaking by exiting the finished map and going around until you can enter a normally unaccessible area.

Several house/cave interiors look like this.  You should probably block these entrances before you finish them.

These are all the areas I found that fall victim to this.

This spike maze can be bypassed when the spikes have retracted.

There's no Heart Container after you beat the boss!

 

Also many screens are bland.  You should add some more detail like flowers and bushes.  Don't make entire screens full of grass combos!  Don't take this badly, I'm just trying to help.

 

 

P.S. Now that I'm done, I can't help but notice that Shane hasn't been added to the staff yet.  You should do that!
