This is a idea that I had like two days ago. There's a blizzard and you can only be in it for so long or you get warp back to the start. There will be safety zones that are under shade. The problem with this idea is that you would need a script to make it work to its fullest. Another problem with this is that it would be very hard to do.

Not necessarily, you can use the "Link Drowns in walkable water" rule, although this will kill Link rather than warp him back to start, it saves the trouble of scripting.
How about a level with tons of damage combos, as long as we force gleeok to endure it ![]()
Kidding, but in all seriousness, I would say it depends what kind of quest you are building. A sadistic, punishing quest? Or one more laid back? Is it non-linear, or progressive? Story driven, vague, non-descript story w/o cutscenes, or just no plot?
I would need the answers to these to give an appropriate suggestion.

In that case, I say have at least one dungeon themed around each season. If you wish to have more than 4, try making seasonal dungeons based on seasons largely not witnessed by many NA cultures, such as the Wet and Dry Seasons experienced near the equator, or Bright Permafrost and Dark Permafrost seasons. You can then further emphasize the importance of seasons within the game's plot, and decide for yourself if conquering the dungeons changes or in any way effects the seasons.

I am kind of bad at scripting.

If you need scripts in your quests, there are two options for you:
First, you could learn to script. If you need help, look here: http://www.purezc.ne...howtopic=53370. These tutorials should teach you the basics, and quite a bit more.
However, if you don't have time or whatever else you need for that, then, you can go here: http://www.purezc.ne...p?showforum=181 and ask for it. However, you do need to remember to be patient here. there aren't too many people on here who can script amazingly, at least compared with the number who can't. Most people on here make quests as well, so the people who can script are making scripts for themselves and for others. If you ask for something, wait 'til someone answers you.

couldn't he use time warps and the safe areas be a direct warp to another dmap with the same screen without the time warp? say have a ground tile that is the shade that is tilewarp and have a instant warp set up to warp the player to an identical screen. have a time-warp screen>screen-data>t warp enter the number of clics till the player is warped out of there. then set up a side warp. screen>screen-data> side warp box should appear and set up your dmap and room(this should be the beginning you want) set it to insta-warp zap effects/blackout to simulate the blizzard warping. plus don't set a direction to the side warp.
or am i far off base with this? sorry if vague/confussing

You explained it pretty well on how you would do this gimmick, the problem is if you want it to work with two screens you would need a script that does this. IF your on the Dmap for to long to get warp somewhere.
