I've heard things from advisors on this, so I'm wondering what everyone thinks of these dropset changes:

1. Drop the Bombs dropset totally
2. Incorporate Bombs into the Default dropset and change Bombs enemies to default
3. Change Red Octorocks and Stalfos 2 from Default to Rupees
4. Add a 20 Rupee item to the Rupee drop sets
5. Blue Wizzrobes changed from Default to a Life Dropset (essentially the same ones that Blue Darknuts have, I can also by doing that restore a room in Demo SP back to Demo Quest's original layout)

Thoughts?

  1. Don't do it, maybe lower the amount you get or only let enemies weak to bombs drop bombs
  2. I don't understand that
  3. Red Octorocks only hearts, stalfos arrows and rupees.
  4. Only for stronger enemies, i.e. stalfos 3, cracktorock
  5. Sounds good

2.  I don't understand that

He means he wants to add bombs to the regular drop set (so that any enemy that drops the regular item set now drops bombs) and then make any enemies that were formerly using the bomb drop set use the regular set instead.

That is, more enemies will have the potential to drop bombs but enemies that you usually farm for bombs won't have any greater probability of supplying them.

I would recommend taking the original 'bomb' dropset and turning it into a 'power' dropset, which is almost identical to the regular dropset except that the rupee drops are 5s and 20s instead of 1s and 5s.  Then you can make the better rupee drops available on stronger enemies while keeping the overall structure of the drops normalized against the regular set.

Cross Wizzrobe Drop Set changes off.  All floaters and Mirrorrobes were changed to Life drops, yes Nintendo messed up on that.

It was nearly a unanimous vote.

So far, more no's on the others, though I am still open ears at this point.
