You all heard of Tomodachi life on the 3DS right?
If you have the game, you might be well aware that if you change the time in-game, change the time on your system, or play the game on a different 3DS, the game will go on a time freeze, and donations and shops won't update.
Unfortunately for me, I have to learn that the hard way. I thought I could pull of the Animal Crossing trick, but now my game is in time freeze. I really don't care about the donations that much, but I need the clothing and hat shops to update. I'm on my 5th day, and nothing seems to be fixed yet. I read on a manual that this would only last 1 or 2 days, I don't know if this is a glitch or a bug.
But this whole time traveling penalty from Nintendo is absolute bullcrap. Yeah, you could say that it's my fault for cheating, but I say it's Nintendo's fault for punishing players on what is supposed to be a stress-free game. I'm stressed because all my hard work is for nothing because the shops won't update. I really don't want to erase my TL game file. It'll take an eternity to go back where I am.
If Nintendo really don't want players to find a way to get items easier, then they shouldn't punish them for it. Instead, just simply add a 24 hour timer for shop updates that isn't affected by the system's 3DS clock, so that if player decided to change the time, they wouldn't get the updated items yet, but still won't be punished for it, and the game will still run normally. And the stupidest thing is that the time traveling glitch can be achieved without a cheat device, there's even a freaking time setting in the game! Why Nintendo? Why are you doing this?
My last major gripe on this mechanic is that what if you're changing the time because of other reasons, like daylight savings time or stuff, or maybe you wanted to play this game on a different 3DS. Maybe you decided to play your game at night because of work, but your miis are all sleeping, and you want to change the time, but no, if you do that, you won't be able to receive updates for your shop for who knows how long.
Anyways, just wanted to make sure if my game is in time freeze forever. I mean this thing should be patched right now, I don't care if it's a year old already, I want my game fixed. ![]()
Thanks Nintendo!
