Alright guys, I think we're about ready to wrap this thing up shortly. ![]()
First off, everyone give a big thanks to CJC for helping out around here to keep things going smoothly, and for being an all around cool guy in general. Also thanks to Nightmare for practically trying to run the thing , and of course to everyone else that entered! There were some really, really good quests--I'm sure it's going to be close!
Of course, with the holidays and the new year we'll keep it open for a few more weeks. If you're still busy playing any of the quests, you might want to think about finishing them ASAP.
As far a judging is concerned what I had in mind was not only a requirement to have played every one of the final quests, but have a sign-up as well, although the first point is probably enough. Nightmare has suggested something less restrictive: to have an open poll, or posting, in case not that many people managed to play them all. I'm a bit skeptical of this, actually. I mean, would I want someone who hasn't played my quest to have equal say vs. someone who actually has? Not really. Feel free to suggest something, especially if you are one of the 5th finalists.

If you intend on playing and judging the 5th Quest finals, or want to make comments on the quests, you're going to need these sets of Let's Plays to help you out.
Be sure to thank Nightmare and MischaPetya for their hard work on these.

NOTE: These quests are all very difficult and require a very high level of play and were done by someone else other than the quest creator to show off features. So any comments about "this should not be done this way, you should speed run this, etc." will not be tolerated and will receive an infraction at the Admin's discretion, so limit your criticisms to quest design please.
Enjoy these, and if you judge, good luck.

Last winter I threw a deadline out on public judging of the 5th quest contest: Tax Day 2014. I see now that the deadline was too restrictive considering the intense difficulty these quests pose. It was only this September that we narrowed the entries down to these six finalists.
I highly recommend watching the Let's Play series even if you do not intend to judge, just to get a good look at which quests were considered the creme-de-la-creme of the contest. It was very difficult deciding who made it into the finals, and picking the winner will be an even greater challenge. 5th quest is for everybody, though, so we need your help. Even if you don't play the quests, please watch the videos above and give your opinion about the dungeons, overworld secrets, and anything else you like, dislike, or just find intriguing.
Every opinion counts!
