When Souls of Wisdom 2 was first released, I announced that this quest's overworld will consist of 3 provinces based entirely off the combination of the overworld of Zelda 2 and the overworld of Souls of Wisdom 1 (which is already based off Zelda 1).

To give you a loose example of what that might look like:

As you can see that this image primarily consist of 3 continents. It is through this image is how I imagine the overworld of Souls 2 looking like. Making this overworld gigantic.

Faron is already nearly completed, but my focus for now is entirely on Eldin. Faron is the north west continent, while Eldin is the southern continent. Eldin is the Continent (titled province in this game) which features the entire overworld of Souls of Wisdom 1.

Last year around this time I've been strongly putting in the effort to recreate Eldin, some images have been provided showing off Eldin's new look. I wanted to create this revisiting sequence to show players the fate of Eldin Province after the events of Souls 1, and I'll say right now.

It's not good...

With the destruction of the Dark World came a lot of consequences within this region:

- Death Mountain of the Dark World practically merged with Hyrule's Mountain trapping it inside an endless spiritual state. Constantly fiery ash now falls on these mountains which have a certain glow to it giving it the illusion of winter. This deadly winter is what I've called and come to be known as Twilight Winter.

- The northern town of Fi, in fear of Twilight Winter, the town near it became abandoned and is now occupied by Gorons who's decided to bring it upon themselves to keep travellers from wandering inside Twilight Winter, the Gorons know that anybody who gets lost in Twilight Winter never returns and is determined to protect people from it.

- Most of the overworld has now grown in by nature that is reclaiming the land as Hyrule Kingdom slowly falls. The desert near Karkariko has suddenly turned into a swamp, the town itself finds itself half flooded.

- The castle however still seems to be doing better than ever, but it is only a matter of time before chaos consumes all of Eldin, forcing the King to rebuild in Lanayru.

- In short, Eldin is doomed.

The reason I decided to create this grim fate for Eldin is mostly an artistic expression of my feelings as the author. I am subtly communicating within the quest my true feelings of moving on. There is no greater expression to my feelings but to feature the coming end to the province of Eldin.

This province will be playable in the near future to staff members of Souls 2.
