I created the Hero's Memory alone over a period of about a year, with almost no external input. I was really surprised when it was as well-received as it was! And, as excited as I am about creating a sequel, I'm finding that working in a void isn't much fun. I get excited when I hear that others are actually interested in what I'm doing. So, I figured I'd start a quest project, and try to keep any followers informed about progress.

It's tricky, though ... First of all, I like my secrets. I'm worried about spoilers, and not sure how much to share and how much to leave as a surprise. There's also the fact that my screenshots ... don't really look that great. I think many designers make full, beautiful screens from the start, and perhaps their designing goes slower as a result. Personally, I want a full area to explore as soon as possible, so I tend to build the whole overworld and then slowly polish it over time. So, if the screenshots currently look underwhelming, please keep in mind I haven't reached this polishing stage yet. Everything you see here will look more visually appealing in the end.

So, what stage is the project at now? I've got the items chosen and almost completely scripted. Almost all the heavier scripting is done, (unless I decide to script bosses, which seems a little overwhelming right now). I know what levels will be included, what items they'll have. I have the whole overworld planned out. Basically, I just need to start BUILDING all of it.

In that respect, your comments keep me enthused about the project, so please, speak up. Although much of this is already planned out, I'd still love to hear your ideas, and what you hope to see out of it.

Hero's Memory was a really solid and well-made quest and I am glad you're going to make a sequel! I wish you good luck with development on this project. Keep us updated
