It's been a long time coming, but Solaris finally has its very first demos!

Wait, did I say demos?

That's right, I have not one, but two demos to try out: the public one and a private one. The private one will be updated regularly and will only be available to a small group of beta-testers (and all of the developers of course).

What's in the first public demo:
  • The first dungeon - my biggest, most diverse, most epic dungeon yet!
  • Five equippable items - not the most exciting, but with a few surprises!
  • Two out of five armor/weapon sets!
  • A fully-functional* EXP/level-up system!
  • A fully-scripted subscreen!
  • Exactly 3.1 bazillion scripts to enjoy!**
  • Tons of custom graphics!
  • Four, count 'em, FOUR original MIDIs!
* One stat (Magic) won't help you at all in this demo and another (Attack) is broken and needs fixing
** Slightly exaggerated

What's in the first private demo:
  • 14 out of 15 fully-scripted magic spells, with an epic spellcasting system, in various states of implementation and bugginess
  • A terrible, throw-away test overworld area (to be completely re-done)
  • All five armor/weapon sets, each with multiple unique traits and special moves (not all are finished, but you get the idea)!
  • Much more frequent updates!
Want to be a beta-tester? Here's what you gotta do:
  • If you're already a developer, you're already a beta-tester. Yay!
  • Play all the way through the public demo
  • PM me to ask for a beta testing slot, and be prepared to answer a question to prove you beat the demo
  • Hurry! Only 4 slots are available!

(Once it's approved)

BETA TESTERS:
1. Open!
2. Open!
3. Open!
4. Open!

Psst... I'm also looking for a new overworld designer!
