Seeing as how the story of this quest spiraled out of control and became something very different from the original, I think that Link would no longer be an appropriate protagonist for this story. It'd just feel like I shoehorned the Legend of Zelda into some crazy Fausch-fanfic.
Also note, I actually have a meaty enough tileset to start building with, and as such, for the first time since the Fall 2006 expo, there is a playable screen of this quest
