This quest has been available for about a month over at AGN, but I thought I'd give it a try here.

(If you're wondering why I didn't just submit it to the database... I haven't gotten around to taking screenshots yet!)

I made a significant update to the quest today (1/25/14)

This version is only partially compatible with save files; if you have started Dungeon 7 you should use the older version or you will be unable to complete the quest.

 

 

This quest was designed to participate in the 5th contest, so it is obviously in the classic style and uses the standard overworld.  Likewise, it is VERY difficult.  I have tried my best to pace it in a way that is not stressful for players; you should never need to farm for anything (and in essence, there isn't much you CAN farm for, the blue candle blue ring and arrow are all dungeon items so the only expensive purchases are keys and bait... and you'll want to buy keys)

Also, pay-for-info are less harsh then they used to be.  Every price has useful information, and in many cases you'll want to pay for more than one.

EDIT:  FYI, Level 9 has a delightful twist at the end of it!

very good work cj alot grinding and great multiply dungeon entraces and so far working on lvl 1 still and no candle around and have no idea where it is located at.

You will need to bomb a wall to reach the blue candle.  It is in the Potion Shop entrance of Dungeon 1, there are actually two wall options that you can use, one in a room with water and the other in a room with lava.  The one-way shutter is a hint; so is the map.

Also, you will not need to grind for the ninth key if you find the rich moblin.  He's hiding behind a bomb wall in a certain section of the dungeon... look for clues by watching where the items drop when you defeat enemies.

Go through the forest maze and then bomb your way into Gleeok's Left Eye (Well... Gleeok's eye which is ON the left).  You'll need the ladder, which is also in this dungeon.  Have you found it yet?

Also... keep an eye out for other important items in Dungeon 3, there are two more upgrades to be had.

 

 

Dead ends have a purpose.  If you defeat the enemies and receive nothing for your effort, try to push some blocks.  Push blocks will never require you to take damage to move, and may be pushed on top of other blocks.  Also, stairs do not necessarily lead back to where they started.
