The Triforce of Corruption. I just posted it yesterday, and realized I should probably announce it. It is the work of a few years. Not continuous, but I moved and had other events occur about 2/3 of the way through completion, so I forgot to pick it up for two years and finally finished it recently. As such there MAY be a touch of disjointedness at some point, but I think I smoothed over it due to extensive and thorough pre-planning. I started in 1.92 and finished in 2.5
About the quest:
In ages past an item of vast evil was broken into 8 pieces and hidden throughout the land. Now monsters are emerging from these dark places to infest the world above. A young man decides to seek out these sources of corruption and gather them together...
- "Near original" theme and feel. I attempted to not stray too far from what I felt could have been done with the original system.
- Features 2 Overworld maps, 1 Underworld map, and 17-24 dungeons, depending on how you want to count them. 6 full maps in total.
- Several custom enemies, mostly extensions of original Zelda enemies, but hopefully more interesting.
- Some very difficult puzzles. I believe they are all "fair", in that none rely on doing something random or counter-intuitive. No bombing blocks, burning rocks, or wanding random walls. There's always SOME kind of hint or direction about maze paths to be found, and the old ladies do know things of importance.
- Combat is difficult and may be unfair at times. My play tester complained I had too many shooters, so I removed a lot. Hopefully it's better balanced now, but let me know if there's a point you feel is out of control.
- Modified original LOZ tileset.
- Heavy emphasis in exploration, especially in the second half. You'll need to look around. Fairly non-linear.
Let me know what you think. This is my first posted quest, but it's not short or half-assed. It may not be fully assed, but that's not from lack of trying. Tell me if you see a glitch, break, bug, etc. Thanks!
