Ok, so this is really starting to tick me off. First of all, I just got a new computer, which is more than likely linked to the problem, but the problem is that every time I try to place an Item on a screen or select an item to place on the screen, the game crashes and doesn't save any of my progress, regardless of how many times I've saved before, it goes to the last place I saved before I got my new computer. It has happened to me two times now after I've spent about 30 min. doing things on a quest I've been working on forever. Please help, this is making me very angry. I'm using ZC 2.5, by the way. Thanks.

Are you using Windows 8? If so, that's the problem. Windows 8 hates a lot of things, and ZC's on that hate list. Are you using fullscreen mode? If not, try running it in fullscreen, or if you are, try running it in windowed mode. Probably won't do anything, but it might. If that doesn't work... you're basically gonna either need to get a different OS or run another OS inside Windows 8 to get ZC to work.

Yeah, I do have windows 8, and I tried running it in both modes, so I guess I'll just have to run it on a different windows. Thank you, lol. I was getting very angry.

Yeah pretty much Windows 8 hates ZC... I know I've tried getting it to run right. In ZC 2.5.1 the issue has been fixed I think? I don't know... as it has not been released.

I can confirm that the Item dialog crashes Windows 8. I've struggled with the problem myself. Tough to make an interesting quest without item pickups. :P

Yeah, hopefully they release an update that fixes it soon, because I'd really like to work on my quest again soon!

If you know how to work with scripts, there would be an easy alternative to the build in item placement. ;)

I have only found two workarounds to this in Windows 8.

1) If you already have a screen with an item on it, copy that screen and paste all on the new screen. Then start drawing around it. I know it is not the best workaround but it is better than error messages.

2) Use item flag 10 and put items under bushes, chests, etc.
