This is "A Side Scroller" posting topic. So far I got dungeons 1-4 done and as soon as I learn to script stuff that interacts with arrows then I will be able to make L5 and the next demo! The game is made with the classic tileset that comes with ZC (plus a bunch of other crap)! And here is the quest topic. Ask anything that comes to mind or suggest stuff if you want

The (s) made a sidescrolling quest once called Evil Castle. You should consider playing through it. If I recall correctly it had some interesting ideas and techniques in it that might give you a few ideas.

Anyways, I would like to see that game myself, because side scrolling is and will continue to be featured a lot in my quest.

I like when side scrollers give u some height to move up and down a tiny bit so u can add more stuff into it and give more options for the player!

Nice little quest there, there are a few gameplay issues and it's unfortunately very short, but it's absolutely worth playing.

i will defiantly be playing it soon. EDIT I have played it and it is pretty fun, Though i keep getting lost.... Anyway there are alot of cool things, Like using the ladder to cross gaps and the save rooms.

I don't really know, I am probably going to call the game "Another Sidescroller" . But if you have a better name, please feel free to suggest it.

Something that relates to the story? Zelda subtitles always relate to the story and not the gameplay.

 

If that were the case, Skyward Sword would be named The Legend of Zelda: Motion Control Sword.

I like "Another Sidescroller". It's unique and tells about the game.

Shane, I'm pretty sure coolgamer isn't aiming to create a professional Zelda game, so I don't see why that really matters. Beyond that the criticism amounts basically to "it's not normal enough".

I like that the project looks really unique, so great job with that!

I know we're not professionals. I'm just suggesting stuff seeing "another sidescroller" sounds like "another game" which sounds bland. But whatever, you make a good point.

I cant name it the adventure of link because nintendo uses for Z2.... But I could name it the "Sidescroller Of Link".....hmm....
