The staff have noticed recently that a lot of people have been requesting that their topics be locked after their questions have been answered or their problems solved.

Simply put, PureZC policy is for those topics to not be locked. While we understand that while you, the topic creator, may want your topic to be locked, there may be other people out there who may benefit from that topic staying open. For example, if you have questions over how to use a specific feature in ZQuest, this may spark a question from someone else related to that feature. So rather than a second topic be created about the same thing, we'd rather just keep one topic be used for everything.

Note that this doesn't apply in the Hosted Quest Project Forums, since QPF owners can close topics as they see fit.
