QUOTE(Eppy @ Feb 4 2010, 12:31 PM) View Post

When I beat level 8 and and got the triforce, I started out in front of the entrance to 8. when I quit and continued, I started out in front of a house in the very North-west corner of the map(Professor Oak). I explored a little of the area and from the looks of it...

ive never seen so many quest bugs in my life icon_frown.gif

anyway those should all be fixed now
however afaik you generally go down that way right after lvl8 anyway so i assume things are fine in your case right

I'm a bug catcher :D

Well, I went back and worked my way through there. I'm at level 10 right now.

Also bought an expensive red ring and I don't know what it does. Plus I have 4 colored scrolls and I imagine that allows the Hurricane spin or something.

I beat it. Definitely a really good quest to play.

This quest is pretty fun, aside from a few glitches that I'm running into. None of them have been game stopping yet, just a few incidences of getting "stuck" and having to save and restart, nothing major. Anyway, was I supposed to give the Yoshi doll to the kid on the island who says that you have to give him a toy? After he quit talking, I was able to walk right past him w/o giving him the Yoshi doll then went up and got the cucco book. So, I now have both in my inventory.

Also, after level 7, when you push the blocks to get into the room to talk to Desmond (the one who tells you to keep going a certain direction to get what you want), you can't get back out because the barriers are back up in front of the door. It's just been small things like this, little bugs that really haven't had much interference with the game play but can be a tad annoying. All in all, a fun quest. The level 7 boss was a bit hard, but I did manage to find the shop that sold the red potion, so I finally beat it.

ETA that I didn't realize there was a fixed version of the quest, so I just downloaded it and hopefully the problem is fixed icon_razz.gif

Edit once again icon_lol.gif Nope, the problem is still there, Link can't get back into the water, he just walks out onto the ladder:

... That above scenario is an interesting one, to say the least. I haven't seen anything like that before. icon_frown.gif

The moral to this one is that you should make sure your quest is bug-free before you release it to the public!

Edit: Yeah, I was almost gonna point that out, but I assumed you had it. Assuming's bad. icon_neutral.gif

Also Exate deserves a butt-ton of credit for fixing this (and considering I've only just thanked him for something he did in February, I must be horrible at this).

That's always pleasing to hear. I have another quest by the name of "Atrocity Exhibition" in the pipeline at the moment which is about 50% complete. There's a few demo versions of it lying around here somewhere, if you're interested.

I'll check it out! I'm going to go back later and try LSVO again and see if I can't get past that little glitch. I hate to quit a game so far into it. If only there were a cheat code I could "walk through walls" it icon_wink.gif

There probably is, but I can't remember it off the top of my head right now. Oh well.
