I decided to set something up for all you users who don't know how to connect to our chat room. All you do is click on this link below and BOOM you are in

Enter Chat!


Some come in! We like to see new faces in chat

Basics of IRC
On the nick list you will see something like ~ & @ % +. This is channel modes.

~ = Chat room owner
& = Chat room admin
@ = Chat room operator (basically admin)
% = Chat room half operator (can only kick/ban/topic change)
+ = Chat room voice (let's you talk in a moderated room)

First thing you should always do is register your nick. The easiest way is to do this (without quotes)
/nickserv register "password" "email"

That's it you are registered.

Also if your nick is registered. You need to login every time so the server knows who you are. If your nickname is registered and you did not identify to it. You will have your nick force changed.

To identify you just do the following (without quotes)
/identify "password"

Then you are all done. =)

Just for clarification purposes, what's the difference between

1) This one,

2)This one,
and 3) This one?

The first one is on Mibbit.

The second one is a completely different channel and server.

The third one is the same as the first but on the site.

The second one pertains to the most active #PureZC channel on the internet.
The first one people go there to just idle. :/

Just to give up to date information in this topic: The chat room on ReservoirIRC is no longer the active one, since it is no longer supported, effective already. There is only one #PureZC chat room now (on SixLabRats), which is for the best in more ways than one.

Not to rent-a-mod (I don't think this is considered rentamodding anyway), but in addition to the fact that we don't support the other server now, and the fact that the other #PureZC (the unnofficial one) has severely dropped to near 0% in activity, it has made the official one just as active as the unofficial one used to be.


More on-topic: I have to say, Deviance, smart idea for those who try to connect with Java but can't because of certain java/firewall issues (I've had them before).
