I've mentioned my old ZC quest before, maybe you heard.

I estimate I started my ZC quest in 2005, and I just never finished it. But now I've picked it up again and am determined to see it through to the end. It doesn't have a name yet, and long lost Spantac quest is like a temporary name for it. I've got more free time now so I work on it most days.

It's a very big quest and the overworld is several maps big. Progress is currently between levels 6 and 7.

There is a problem. Since it's so old, it uses an old version of Zelda Classic. 2.10, I think, I'll have to check that. Is that a problem?

In fact, it's so old, No-one had heard of Twilight Princess while I was in the early stages of the quest. I'm going to have to rename the mountain on top of Zora's River to Snowpeak.

I'll put up screenshots or something. It uses Pure Tiles, but I think I've put in lots of original things like themes for dungeons that make it different to other quests.

I just wanted to tell you about it, and make it official. icon_kawaii.gif K?

Cool. icon_cool.gif Yeah, we like 2.10 here. In varying degrees, of course, but it's all good. Do it to it! Take it to the max!

Err, 2.10 is the latest stable version, not outdated.

As for Snowpeak, OK, but you can have any place names in your quest by your free decision.

I'm always happy for one more quest, and when people start acting like this was PureZC instead of just chitchatting.

Well put. Bravo. icon_slycool.gif

I'm SO excited to hear you starting ZC up again! This is a Quest I can really look forward to... Just remember, take your time with each screen or map, don't rush it. Patience and effort will produce quality. icon_smile.gif

But yeah, I'm with Russ; show us screenshots of some of the areas. I wanna see your screen design skills... icon_kawaii.gif

And yes, 2.10 owns. I made mine in 2.10, CastChaos made his in 2.10... The fact that so many people use the betas is sad, IMO, 'cause that means they're forgetting the basics. Don't forget the basics! icon_love.gif

Sorry that took so long. Here are a few screenshots:

Outside Level 6

Mysterious house on Snowpeak

And some more:

Underwater Tube
Forest Fortress (Level 4)
Subrosia
Kakariko Well
In level 5
Lost Hills
Ruto Tunnel
End of Level 2
Subrosia - Yellow Village

I've almost made up a plot now. I'm not very good at that, but I'm trying really hard.

I see some great new tiles. And while that, the ground of the snow screen is quite empty (not problem for me there). I really like these new things like the giant ferns in big pots and those things on the first screen.

It's also interesting that you made so horribly much areas but there's no story yet... of course, a full quest can exist without story, too, but still...

So I'm looking forward to this.

You know, that would be really useful. I just gotta fix up some early parts of the quest so it makes some sense, and then, yeah, whoever wants to.

Demo's here. You can get it here.
You can play just past level 6 right now. A couple of areas are unfinised along the way. Blocks with crosses through mean you can't go that way because it doesn't exist. Excuse the plot. It's pretty much "you have to saaaaaaaaaaave the wooooooooooooooorld."

Anyway, play. And tell me if it works or not, k, please? icon_kawaii.gif
