Ok, here are some of my quest screens, and i look some thing looks missing, i think its the ground, i think it needs more detail, what do you think?

Well maybe change the palette to a darker tone. And yes more ground detail could be better. I wish DoR had the more detailed grass tiles that Pure has.

They're all really boxy. As Plissken suggested, maybe you should change the palette to "Forest." I think it's either 10 or 11...

Yeah try making the edges where the ground meets the water less straight. Try to change the direction in some places to make it look more natural.

Hey I feel kinda stupid asking this but, where can I find the tree on the top right picture in the first post? I've seen it so many times and I'm using DoR but I can't seem to find it anywhere...

Look in Sharon Daniel's QPF for his tiles. He was the creator.

Also, here's some pics from my forest... A lot of these have been redone, but they'll help you nonetheless.




You can see that I don't overload on the trees, and that I try not to make the screen square. I also don't overdo the overhangs or shadows.
