I was wondering for the heck of it, how loud do you like/make boss music?

personally I like it very loud, 'cause that way, it's more involving.And also fighting a boss that's quiet, that makes almost no sense.

Well...I make it louder then the rest of the level, but not loud enough to make it so you'd have to turn down the volume.

Mine is just average since I don't want the player to have to reach for the volume.

Actually, I just make every song 255. It makes it easier, and the player, like Shoelace said, won't be inconvenienced.

I make boss music about 20-30 points louder than the level music.

It's only recently that I started to make my average volume about 125. ALL Boss musics of mine are 225. The megaboss musics will be 255, not that it makes much of a difference.

Cutscenes are 150. Overworlds are 125. Dungeons are 100. Caves are 85. Towns are 100. Dangerous themes are 175.

Wow BH4, I never thought of that. It's a cool way for the quest to sound much better. For me, I use all 255.

Extremely loud and crazy. I put all boss music up to 255, or at a volume level beyond level music.

Yeah, I usually make boss music at 255. My boss fights are customs, so it has to be climactic.

I keep all my music around the same volume. I hate it when I play other quests and the music all of sudden gets too loud for my liking, or someone else is in the room, so I have to quickly turn it down. Grr, it's so freakin' annoying.

I usually set all of my midis to 200, ones that come quiet to 255.

I do the same. XD It does make it easier.

I make everything sound the same volume. Many midis aren't the same volume to start with, so I level them out.

Well, considering I haven't made it far enough in a quest to post anything here, I will anyway. It would depend on the song, I guess. I'm planning out the soundtrack, and the songs I have planned for boss battles are way more hardcore than the level music, so it's gotta be louder.
