My first attempt at making a Screen Rebirth. The Bloody Gulf is a wonderfully lush and beautiful subtropical area where the plants thrive off the large amounts of blood causing strange mutations. It's also filled with dangerous wildlife including lanmolas and scary lynels!

I really like Jambu's shot, it's just a good classic screen. Shoutouts to Kifstophers "screen" though, it's really cute.

The premise of a dry forest in Marchland Malady's screen is unique. I'd say the custom tiles definitely stand out like a sore thumb; the choices in colour stand out like sprites rather than environmental tiles.

 

I do like how Blackpaintbowser turned the screen into a swamp. It is different without straying too far from what the base screen was attempting. I'd say not keeping the higher elevation definitely did sacrifice some interest but overall, it's a strong screen.

 

Felt nostalgic seeing Demonlink's entry. I like the elevation and ruin this screen has. I'd say a bit more snowy elements could go a long way, but this is a close second for me.

 

The colours in Jambu's screen lend themselves to the "blood" aesthetic which I enjoy. I like the interpretation of making it a house and lake instead, definitely one of the most unique here.

 

It's a little hard to judge Kifstopher in terms of conventional composition, but points for creativity!

 

There's a sense of coldness in Mani's entry that I dig. I think the mountain rubble was an interesting choice and the colours really tie it all together.

 

Twilight Knight's is the one I ended up voting for. The idea turning this into a flooded cave makes this the most unique. The little dip in elevation is a nice touch.

Kifstopher entree is by far the greatest screenshot of all time for sure.

Like always I absolutely love the work of Demonlink, though I must say in the context of being a Screen Rebirth it is the weakest entry to me.

Twilight Knight is a completely different matter, I have problems to make out the details with the screen being the dark, my brain struggles to do so while comparing it with the original screen at the same time.

I thought my entry would be wild, but Kifstopher found a way to change it up even more.

 

A very good batch of submissions really. My favourite entry is Mani Kanina's though, I really like that dungeon entrance and the rubble on top of the mountain. Ground detailing is superb
