This is intended as part of a series of tutorials on how to set up some of the various features which people might use in 2.55.
I will include screenshots as much as I can. This tutorial is on how to set up permanent block puzzles.

These will make a sound when you push the block onto the switch.
These are a puzzle seen in many standard Zelda games where pushing blocks onto switches solves puzzles.

Here's the minimum combos you will need:

  1. A pushable block.
  2. A copy of that pushable block, which cannot be pushed.
  3. A switch to push it on.
  4. A raised barrier.
  5. A lowered barrier.

Because the mechanism requires it, number 1 should be immediately left of number 2.

Let's start with number 2.

Under "General", find "SFX" and "Appears" . Set this to whatever sound you want.

This sound will play when your push block is pushed onto a switch.

Next, let's set up our switch.

Go to the "Triggers", "States/Spawning" page.
Select "Trigger Group" and enter a numerical value.
Please remember this value for later use.
Click on the box "Contributes to TrigGroup".

Finally, let's go to our raised barrier.
For ease, number 4 and 5 on the above list should be next to one another in the combo page.
First, under "Triggers", "Effects"- Combo Change should be 1.

Under "Triggers", "States/Spawning" set the value of "Trigger Group" to the same as your switches.
Set "Trigger Group Val." to one.
Click the box "Trigger Group Less->".

Finally, to make the secret permanent.
Under "Triggers", "Other" click "Secret->".
Under "Triggers", "Effects" click "Triggers" secrets.

Be sure that the Screen is set to work as an Interior Screen.
One last step is required.
On the screen, place flag 91 on top of your switches.

That's it! Now, when pushed onto the switch; the block will make a sound.
Once all switches have been pressed secrets will be triggered.

Just realized that you can do this without a copy of the pushable block that can't move.

Instead, on the switch combo; under "General" set the SFX for disappears to some value.

Then place flag 66 (block trigger) on the switch.

This will cause the block to stop moving and make a sound as well, reducing the work needed to cause this effect.
