Well, I will have to spoil the story a small bit to tell you, but here i go, also, it is a small c-di ref.:


The King's clerics notify him that Link must become a Knight of Hyrule before he can go fighting evil. The King tells Link this, and then says: "You must cleanse the Knight's Test of monsters before you can go find the elders." Link goes and does that, becomes a Knight, and the story goes on...
