My problem is that when I insert an image the white that's on the background of the image is still there. Or if you are ZQuesting the :No Color: Color. Is there any way to remove that so the image will layer into the userbar?

You need to change the background color to alpha - which is the real name of the 'transparent color.' GIMP has a "color to alpha" filter that does this easily to both layers and selections.

Sometimes, if that doesn't work, you can always use the "Select Regions by Color" tool to select the whole background (assuming if the background's a solid color), then you can completely erase it, without harming the rest of the image.

Macromedia Flash does, so use that.
And you could make an animated userbar..... icon_eyeitus.gif

But that'll set you back a cool $600, last time I checked. icon_unsettled.gif

Try PAINT.NET - a free and more powerful paint. It supports alpha and a lot more.
