I'm going to sound like a broken record, but I also think it should stay how it is.

The entire point of SotW was to show off screenshots from quests. It's true that shots made just for SotW are acceptable, but it is still open for actual quest screenshots. By limiting it to a theme, people would be forced to forsake the option that the contest was made for to begin with.

It is true that standards have been... well... ridiculously high lately. However, this is merely a reflection of the standard that the ZC community has imposed on itself. I personally don't like such an insanely high standard, but that's the way it has happened. Trying to force a sudden change in this standard will pretty much make SotW die.

This is actually the problem with Tiles of the Week, also. Due to the themes it is pretty much forced to have due to its nature, people are not very willing to make something from scratch they will probably not use or see someone else using.

I think if you've got the time, make 2 sepearte SOTW threads. One for anything (as it is now) and another themed thread for a more style based competition. I nulled, but i definatly don't think you should get rid of the current SOTW.

Maybe the first SotW of after SotM could have a General Theme.

But then we'd need to change the whole system.

I think that it should be the same, because the people don't turn in enough for that. And plus not everyone may have that same theme in their quest. You barely get three every week. This would just make ppl turn screenshots in less and less.
