It's infinitely possible. I can think of a great way involving whistle warps to transport between islands, but you'd have to sacrifice ALL player movement while on the Great Sea... you could have a sailing "cutscene" but no actual sailing. On the plus side, it would require absolutely no scripting whatsoever. By the way, DFW made a WW-esque quest entitled Isle of the Winds... you should check it out sometime. icon_smile.gif

i've heard of this. I'm pretty sure the first time i saw it was on ZeldaClassic.com, i was gonna get it, but i didnt know how to get the quests back then. That was whan i was 100% /\/ 0 0 /3!!! I totally forgot about it though, mabey ill get it. Is it in the Database here?

Also, im thinking of a way to still be able to sail without scripts or anything. Ill have to actually try it out though. ill get back to you guys on that.

Sailing without scripts is easy. Just put down the raft branch flag on every tile of water. That way Link actually steers the boat. And yes, Isle of the Winds is at the pure zc quest database.

YES!!! I KNEW IT!!!

that's what i was thinking. and i've got ideas for the cyclone god thats always across the seas. He could mabey give you the whistle. But you wouldn't be able to pick your spot. That could get annoying...

I bet somebody could write a simple script that allows you to pick where you want to warp to. In fact, it would be really simple. When Link uses the wistle, the script waites to see what number Link presses. It then warps him to a certain place based on whatever number he pressed.

that sounds like a good idea. but would it warp you to a different screen so you know what number to press?

You COULD turn Link's swimming tiles into a boat...
