hi, i have a quest that's almost ready for submission into the database, but this time, i don't want to submit it and then update over and over again after finding every quest-stopping flaw. so i'm asking for those interested in my quests--can you play through this one and see if it's good enough for submission? not to beta test, just casually play it as you normally would to see if it's solid ground to play on. if you want, you can report back to me via PM or thread post with your comments and i'll stick your name on the readme file credits. your help is much appreciated!

things i'm looking for:
- does it work on zc 2.10.2? how about 2.10.0?
- are there continue bugs?
- major graphical errors
- spelling mistakes and grammar
- broken and missing secrets
- loopholes to skip parts of the quest
- missing undercombos
- extremely ugly areas in terms of graphics or music

There's no password.
Cheat codes are 1, 2, 3, 4 in ascending order.
You can beat the quest without cheats.
Cheating can mess up the flow of the game.
Slash is disabled by default. You can use zquest to enable it, but it'll affect the game, specifically level 6.

I like what I see so far.

I've gotten the candle and moved onto level 1. Got the map, but can barely see it. You might want to brighten up that misc color. Also, Link's position color is black. I don't know if you intended it that way, but it's usually green, then blue, then red. Depending on what ring he has.

But, I like it so far. It IS playable in 2.10.0.

You also have the same issue with the compass marker.

In the raft building, you have the word "you" twice.
Ending the first string and starting the following string.

And your link doesn't work.

Edit: Finished level 3. Tired of fighting with this level 1 sword and cannot figure out where to next. The Blue tunic dungeon is too much without the number 2 sword.

I know where level 5 is.

Also, if you're only going to have 6 triforce pieces, you might want to turn on the 3 or 6 triforce total rule.

response to your post:

you get the white sword in level 4; very poor item planning on my part, which you'll notice throughout the quest, sorry to say. you can see level 5 but there's no way to pass the goriya guarding its entrance until after level 4. speaking of which, level 4 is on the top-right of the ow map, an area you can access with the magic boomerang. the 3 or 6 triforce rule is, in fact, turned on. and the last item to address on your post, the blue tunic, along with all the extra items, are designed to be a bit of a challenge/mystery as to when you can uncover these items. if it looks too hard to tackle, it probably is for now. in this case, you won't be able to get the blue tunic until level 5. again, horrible item planning. >.<

question about the 3 or 6 triforce rule remark--how can you tell if it's on or off? you've been a great help so far, thanks!

Look under quest->rules. If there is a check there, the rule is on.
What you might need is the Big Triforce Piece rule on.

oh i think i know what you're saying. i have the "3 or 6 triforce pieces" rule checked off, but i didn't check off "big triforce pieces." as far as i know, this setup is OK. the "3 or 6..." rule is used for 6 small pieces. if i also checked off the "big triforce" rule, the triforce subscreen will fill up after obtaining four pieces.

unless i'm still misinterpreting your post...

For some reason in 2.10, it works that way. With the rule checked for 3 or 6, the triangle doesn't fill unless you have 8.

ok i definitely know what you're talking about now. it's not supposed to fill up all 8 triforce segments. hard to see, but i tried to draw the triforce frame to outline the six fragments you need to obtain to enter lvl 7. you can see it better if you start a new game.

wow, that level 4 mistake is a major one, thanks for spotting it. this new file fixes the level 4 error along with some other torch errors. i also updated the overworld music:
