If you change the speed of a "convey (direction)" combo, does it change how fast it conveys Link? If not, would there be any way to do this? I think it would be sort of interesting to do in a quest.

No, sorry. The speed shown is merely the animation speed. It does not effect the convey speed.
What I want to know is exactly fast, in tics, the conveyor movement is. I know it's somewhere between 1 and 2. If I figure it out properly, I can set the speed at 1, and then use the correct number of frames to make it look like the conveyor animates at the same speed that it conveys.

It's 2 pixels every 3 frames, I think.
I gave my conveyor 24 frames, following this pattern:
Hold still
Move 1 pixel
Move 1 pixel
Hold still
Move 1 pixel
Move 1 pixel
etc.
It moves at the same speed Link does, while not looking as jerky as Link's movement.

Oh really? Hey, that's not so bad.
You didn't really need to worry about the directions, but thanks; that saved me some time I would've spent testing speeds.
