Alucard finally confronts Death who holds the final piece of Dracula. Once defeating Death, Alucard can finally meet and defeat Dracula  any time now, but where in this castle will Dracula be resurrected?

Alucard faces the mightiest foe in the Castle. This foe has been an enemy against Dracula probably for as long or even longer than the Belmonts. Unlike the Belmonts however, Galamoth has no interest in befriending Alucard.

NJF Plays Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (18 - The End of Dracula & Ending 2)

LejesR: Dracula knows karate. (30:52)

LejesR: He simply chooses not to use it. (30:56)

 

Alucard has vanquished all the monsters of Dracula's Castle. Now only Shaft serving as the true Lord of the Castle remains. Shaft reveals his plan that controlling a Belmont would leave him and Dracula unopposed. However, due to Alucard, his plan has failed. Shaft, however intends to defeat Alucard and defeat his human side in an attempt to still succeed. However, he fails to defeat Alucard. Immediately after the death of Shaft, Dracula is reborn. Dracula congratulates Alucard, but chastises him for still befriending humans. Dracula intends to force Alucard into joining him in world dominance, but is defeated by his son. Alucard reveals to Dracula his wife's last words before she died, to which Dracula responds with a moment of remorse for his actions before being cast off once again into the darkness.

It is revealed in an alternate ending that after the defeat of Dracula, Maria goes after Alucard to convince him to stay, leaving Richter behind.
