Ladies and Gentlemen, with the coming of the new year, a new change to Pure Zelda Classic's infrastructure has been ushered in as well. These changes have been made to keep things operating even more smoothly than they had been, having had several years to observe the system and make changes as necessary. It will also keep things fresh, which is a welcome change to everyone, I'm sure.

Here is a list of the changes that the community has experienced.
  1. The entire ranking system has changed.
    • IPB Image Site Staff
      • The equivalent of the former system's Site Staff. The "Administrators" usergroup has been merged into this group.
    • IPB Image Global Moderators
      • The equivalent of the Super Moderators. There are just more of them this time because there's no point in having several moderators who are on frequently online unable to ensure Pure's security in its most vital moments.
    • IPB Image Local Moderators & L. Mod / ZC Devs
      • This group consolidates the Chat Staff group and the Moderators group. They will have Halfop positions in the Chatroom, and will rotate their assigned forums periodically. The L. Mod / ZC Devs usergroup is a specialized usergroup established for those who are both Zelda Classic Developers as well as Moderators on the forums.
    • IPB Image ZC Developers
      • The ZC Developers group continues to be a staple of the ZC Community, and deserve far more recognition than they have been getting within the former setup. After all, we would be nothing without them and their astonishing patience.
    • IPB Image Contributors
      • The Contributor group is a new development to the community. Those who selflessly offer their free time and services to the community will not go unacknowledged. Recognition is the least of the just desserts earned for the time and effort of these noble souls have dedicated to the forums and its users.
    • IPB Image to IPB Image
      • Forum Community Users. (Members) - The ranking system will remain the same.
        • 0 HC, 0 HCP: 1-25 (Newbie)
        • 0 HC, 1 HCP: 26-50 (Initiate)
        • 0 HC, 2 HCP: 51-75 (Recipient of Ways)
        • 0 HC, 3 HCP: 76-100 (Experienced Forumer)
        • 1 HC, 0 HCP: 101-175 (Junior)
        • 1 HC, 1 HCP: 176-250 (Doyen(ne))
        • 1 HC, 2 HCP: 251-325 (Senior)
        • 1 HC, 3 HCP: 326-400 (Illustrious)
        • 2 HC, 0 HCP: 401-550 (Apprentice)
        • 2 HC, 1 HCP: 551-700 (Adept)
        • 2 HC, 2 HCP: 701-850 (Wizard)
        • 2 HC, 3 HCP: 851-1000 (Magus)
        • 3 HC, 0 HCP: 1001-1250
        • 3 HC, 1 HCP: 1251-1500
        • 3 HC, 2 HCP: 1501-1750
        • 3 HC, 3 HCP: 1751-2000
        • 4 HC, 0 HCP: 2001-2500
        • 4 HC, 1 HCP: 2501-3000
        • 4 HC, 2 HCP: 3001-4000
        • 4 HC, 3 HCP: 4001-5000
        • 5 HC, 0 HCP: 5000+
  2. Pertaining to Chat: There will no longer be a Chat Staff position within chat or the community. The Chat Staff usergroup will be removed, and the Local Moderators will take up their position.
  3. On that note, our Chat Staff are being promoted to Local Moderators.
  4. What does that mean for the moderators present before that change? They're all being promoted to the new Global Moderator usergroup to create a void to fill.
As for the contributor usergroup, the following individuals have earned their place within it:
  1. Sephiroth: For creating the skin to this site. Whenever you even look at the forums, you're seeing his work.
  2. CastChaos: For helping run Featured Quest of the Month.
  3. /M/: For helping run Screenshot of the Week.

Bleh. No trophies for me. I just like doing stuff. 'Stuff' stuff. Besides, it was everybody who contributed towards this. Nate had the idea for the change in the first place. Then there was a whole lot of bickering about the colors at the last minute, (Like, ten minutes ago. icon_razz.gif ) ... Yeah. It was an interesting evening.

So don't go thanking me just because you see my name there. There are a lot of people that make this site tick, and the lot of you are no small cogs. Please give yourselves a hearty pat on the back for all the time and effort and thought you invest here.

Pregnant_cow: Doyenne is the feminine version of Doyen which means senior member.

Octorockoncrack:The contributor group is simply a group meant to recognize outstanding commitment to the ZC community.

Yeah, each contributor is there for a unique reason.

Sephiroth is a contributor for creating the skin to this site.
CastChaos is a contributor for helping run Featured Quest of the Month.
/M/ is a contributor for helping run Screenshot of the Week.

Basically it's a recognition thing.

Heh. I figured it had nothing to do with the database, since, even with just the quests portion, we'd be having quite a few contributors! icon_lol.gif

I'll do my best as a moderator of PureZC.
