How much is finished?

Like, when is the latest we can expect PZC to be down? Is there an Earliest you have figured out?

Reference Post #39 in this topic for any information on what progess has been made so far. Last noteworthy progress Nate made was about a week ago, so the skin is still being worked on. Making a good skin for a new version of IPB can take some time, and from what I can tell he is pretty busy with other things too. Sometimes life throws curveballs at you. As for when we will take it down for the upgrade, notice will be given before it actually happens, so we won't leave everybody high and dry. As of right now, we don't have a timetable. But don't worry, it will be done before most of the troops are out of Iraq.

Out of curiosity, how's progress on this? I haven't heard anything about it for months.

That's because I've stopped doing it, for awhile. Contact with Wild Bill is just too...rare right now. In the future, progression will continue, but not at least for a little while.

Out of curiosity, then, what's this topic about? I read something about a site upgrade, but what particularly does that entail?

It would have entailed an upgrade to a new version of IPB, new features, and more security against hackers. I get the feeling that it's as likely to happen as ZC 2.5 final: It's definitely going to happen some day, but I have no idea in which century.

Perhaps I should add that I'm not directing this at Nate. He's put a lot of work in but he could do with some of the things he needs to continue, like site access.
