if i set a Velocity for something to a fraction, will it move like that? or will it not do anything since the value isnt full pixels? or will it just round the number off?

Yes, ffcs will move if their velocity is a fraction.

That's why there are 4 decimal places in their 'Vx' and 'Vy' boxes in their data in ZQuest ;-)

Technically they shouldn't be able to, because you can't move by half a pixel, but ZC has an algorithm which works it out for you, so they take half the time or something.

Anyway, it works is the most important part.

The units for Vx and Vy are pixels per frame (for instance, with a Vx of 1, a FFC would move to the right one pixel each time the screen is refreshed). So while 0.5 pixels per frame doesn't make much sense, I believe this is scaled to be 1 pixel per every two frames - so effectively the same velocity (the same ratio of distance over time) is achieved.
