My father found out that every thursday night there is some sort of jam session thing at this hotel in one of the many towns surrounding me - Ironically he also had a $40 voucher to buy food there.

Anyway, i rocked up with my guitar, and at about 9 pm, played three songs, two of which I hadnt even heard of before and "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd with this other guy playing a guitar and another on the conga drums. Afterwards, my dad reckoned everyone thought I was 17 or 18, because of my height and facial hair.

So, discuss the music.

Nice, I'm not in a band, I think the people around here listen to way too much emo punk and or nu metal.

It's funny how some people wear ACDC t-shirts to try to make it look like they're oldschool.

Maybe they just like AC-DC...

I can't imagine someone wearing a band shirt of a band they don't listen to. icon_eyebrow.gif

^Are you being sarcastic? People do that all the time. Pisses me off, too.
Like you see everyone walking around with Guns N' Roses or AC/DC on their shirt, and they only know a handful of their songs; the ones that everyone knows.

Anyway, Pink Floyd = awesome. Good for you.

No, I'm serious. It really doesn't make sense to me.

How exactly would you know anyway? Do you interrogate everyone you see wearing a band shirt?

Lots of people in my town wear band shirt of bands that they hardly listen to. They just try to look cool and impress other, older kids. Those people are losers.

So...back on topic, congrats Taco on you jammin and such. That sounds like lots of fun and you will probably gain experience from this too! I hope you go places with your musical abilities. I should probably go and try to get a band together soon too...

No. I see people wearing them around school all the time. [Preps.]
Just because I don't ask them about it, doesn't mean that I don't know who they are, i.e. their personality/likes and dislikes in music. They don't appreciate classic rock. But they wear the shirts because the band names are retro. It's a style.

Pink Floyd, I shall never forget your weird ass flower sex video. They do have some awesome tunes though (Money is perhaps one of my favorites just for nicely the sound effects work) so congrats on picking music that doesnt suck.
