Well, I don't really call them ghosts, but I do believe that souls that can't rest in peace yet still remain on earth. In fact, just earlier this year, my uncle died and left my aunt and three young cousins. Well, I wouldn't say he left immediately. There was a sign that he was still on earth, like his recliner set up the way he likes it (and my aunt and cousins claimed that they didn't do it). So, you could say I'm a nephew to a ghost. Well, actually, he has departed into Heaven, now. I think he stayed on earth for about a week.

My great grandparents and their daughter still roam their home...
Everytime I spend the night there a music box turns on in the middle of the night...

Ghosts huh... I tend to think that if they existed a lot more people would believe it... but if they're so rare, perhaps. I believe there's some credibility to psychic phenomenon, so meh.

There's also the possibility they exist, but aren't the souls of the dead as they're attributed to. Just something else entirely.

I think that it's definitely possible that the soul of a person could come back, God willing, of course.

But it'd be NOTHING like Blair Witch Project, or most "ghost hunters' " reports.

Nope. Could probably be a good way to make money, though. Too bad I'm a horrible speaker.

If you mean white bedsheets going around saying "wooooo" and rattling chains: no.

As to the possiblity of seeing or communicating with people wha are dead or far away, there's no proof or disproof; it might be possible but I've never done it yet.

If ghosts exist, I personally believe that they are souls left by people who died before they could finish a job or mission etc. that was very important to them and could not depart until it was finished.

Ever read the book Dirk Gentley's Holistic Detective Agency? There's a side story about a guy who get's murdered at the beginning of the book in the middle of leaving a message on his sister's answering machine and cannot depart until he finishes the message.

You know, If I ever woke up dead and realized that I was a ghost, I'd wonder if I could hide my body and pass as alive for a while...

Most random, well-thought out book ever. Douglass Adams is a genius.

Was a genius. Ever wonder why the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie was only good until they got to Magrathea? He died before he finished the screenplay and some horrible writer finished it for him. He also didn't finish the third book in the Dirk Gentley series, which looks like it would have been good.

My friends dad has almost died twice and he claims when he was dying he left his body and started floating away but saw his family and came back into the body.

I don't know if I believe in ghosts or not but I do believe there is something when you die. Hopefully good.

Theres a lot of stuff concerning my mother. She's still alive, but has a lot of connections with the supernatural. A relative had just died through childbirth, and we were all still mourning when my mom and my dad (the most rational person I know) smelt roses in the living room, and there was no visible source, you couldn't smell it outside or in any other room. She also said (don't laugh) that she said she saw dead people as a young girl, I was a bit skeptic, but with my mother lie to me? Many other supernatural things have also happened around her, but this post is long enough already.

Both of my parents have had multiple encounters with ghosts. One example would be that when my mom was young, the radio would turn on at night. Another time (still my mom's old house) the window that was completely stuck in place, shut, was open and then closed later.

Oh yeah, and the elementary school I went to the my mom works at has a ghost. It wanders around at night and sometimes messes around with whoever is working late. Not to scare, just to let them know it's there. Still creepy.
