We seriously need to discuss the comments section. There is no way to reply to anything as everything is tied to rating (thus you can only speak once.)

Why don't ya check out this topic. I think you'll like what you see. icon_razz.gif

Ratings

Okay. A few things on the ratings here. The first thing being that not only can people comment on submissions more than once, the creator can comment as well. Basically, these are full blown comments rather than ratings with some words added. When people make a rating comment (the ones that aren’t indented), they can assign a rating. Then everyone, including the comment poster and the submission creator, can reply to that comment.

It might be tidy if every quest submission were tied to its discussion topic via a link. The process of asking a question would be a lot easier than searching the right forum for the right quest and asking there. This is the process by which TASvideos operates: every single submission, even if rejected, has its own discussion topic.

Here's a good question! What about pips/rank images? I say if the forums are going to get a new look, so should the icons. I've never been fond of the rainbow heart scheme going on, and feel like it should just be a reddish pink for all of them. Now we can keep the piece scheme as well, but I feel like there should be 10 hearts of smaller size so it looks more like we're building a life meter~

Eh, I prefer the pips the way they are. Just because we're updating doesn't mean we're cleaning house and removing every single thing that's iconic to how PureZC has been for ages. icon_shrug.gif

Maybe in the renewal perhaps you can only have "standard" view? When you go onto PZC threads via google and perhaps over search websites, it makes everything in "linear" view. It's rather a small tedious job to switch back to standard and I'm sure a lot of new people freak out by the sudden change of layout. Or is this impossible/or could break something?

As far as I know, "standard" view is the only available thread view for the newer IPB. So the infamous "I got stuck in Outline view" problem will probably go away when we upgrade the forum software. icon_shrug.gif
