some questions:

- after installing it, how can we run?

- here from flatpak the instalation also took around 1.5gb hd space (including dependencies) - quite bloated... any chance to have an appimage version as well? (seems that we need over 20tb of hd space for installing flatpaks without worrying...)

You can run it from your software center, or whatever, you didn't mention a linux distro but for Mint it's as simple as running any other program. If flatpak is not integrated like that for your distro then you run it from the command line. Search for flatpak user guides.

ZC flatpak itself is not 1.5gb. flathub says ~50MB. You are counting all the platform/sdk stuff that flatpak is built on, which is shared across many flatpaks.

If you don't want to use flatpak, you can build and install it yourself - instructions here. There are also plans to publish .deb or whatevers at some point.

im using ubuntu 24.10 amd64

back to flatpak (only going to use it where i have enough hd space...), what i was asking about was which arguments i use after "flatpak run" on the terminal

when entering "flatpak run com.zquestclassic.ZQuest" i get "Unable to find a suitable graphics driver" window error message, and when clicking on ok, i get:

Gtk-Message: 17:05:14.558: Failed to load module "xapp-gtk3-module"
/app/bin/entry.sh: line 27:     9 Aborted                 (core dumped) zlauncher

One thing to try is setting this environment variable to make the flatpak use software rendering - https://github.com/f...ZQuest.yml#L167

As the comment shortly above the line I linked says, I had to go out of my way on Mint to install the official drivers for my GPU. Once I did that everything worked for me.
