I built my computer in 2011. I've only upgraded the video card and cooling system. The mobo, cpu, hard-drive and everything else are going on seven years old.

OK, that's good to know.
Mine'll be a decade in March, but obviously the hardware was manufactured before then, and I've only replaced those two secondary HDs.
(I like to invest in stuff that lasts, and wear it to its bitter end.)

Same. In fact, the very existence of my computer is proof of this. It's been through a lot. It's been splashed by waves in the bed of a truck on a ferry, it may or may not have had a beer spilled in it, it has been through several seasons of none-electronic-conducive climate, and, it is also left on for weeks at a time.
Yeah, I'm a bad PC owner, but a lucky one.
