This was also an opportunity for me to both learn EzGBZ as well as figure out more scripting stuff, so the quest is a little bit of everything. Of course, my dismay for the state of which the EzGBZ tileset for 2.50 was in is what lead me to want to make a new better structured GB tileset, which turned into the VD tleset later down the line.
Either way, this quest and the majority of content in it was produced back in 2016, a few tiny things were added at a later point in 2017, but it has remained in it's current state ever since. And now? I'm releasing it as a finalized beta, I can't promise that I won't finished this at a later date, but it is looking increasingly unlikely. However...., the quest is in practicality done, you can beat it from start to finish, it's a bit of extra post game content that I'm too lazy to sit down and finish scripting. So, for this release I have added some solid tiles and signs saying "beta" so you can't accidentally wander into those areas and reach broken content.
So what is this quest? Well...
- It's a 1-2 hour long romp to reach the ending, after which there is a bit of bonus content you can go and explore of the quest was your jam.
- It draws a little bit of inspiration from A Tribute to Yeto's Quest, and by extension of that Yeto's Quest. I think it plays a bit differently in practice though so the best way to see if you like it is to give it a spin.
- A gameplay trailer can be viewed here.
I will be uploading the quest in it's current state to the database
