First off, you can learn about him at Wikipedia. Just follow the link below.
Wikipedia Entry On Tim Follin
Second, you can learn of some of the games he (and his brother, Geoff Follin) composed music for.
Entry At Television Tropes And Idioms
Finally, you can hear some of his music. I have links to videos I found on Youtube of some of his songs that I like below.
Chronos-ZX Spectrum
Raw Recruit-ZX Spectrum
Solstice-NES
Silver Surfer-NES
Agent X 2-ZX Spectrum
Ghouls N Ghosts-Commodore 64
Time Trax-Sega Genesis
Tim Follin is, without a doubt, a extremely gifted video game composer. The music in the videos above have a sense of inner beauty and passion. What are your thoughts on his music?

I notice some of the music in vvvvvv sounds kinda similar to the Chronos stuff.

Yes, I did notice the similarities. It is nice when the music of a video game is actually worth listening to and isn't just ambient notes in the background.

Tim Follin is amazing -- his stuff is so ridiculously varied yet he always manages to leave his mark on whatever he writes. I've used some of his stuff in one of my quests and I think it set the tone incredibly well. (Particularly his stuff from Solstice and PLOK which I also think he had a hand in.)
