Do you have the soundfonts in the C:/timidity/musix folder?

Nope. I'll do that (maybe edit this step into the first post?)

EDIT: Okay, I am still having the same problem, even after adding the soundfonts
to the musix folder. The program still cannot read the configuration file. I think it's just
a bad file. The reason I say this is because the configuration file Dart Zaidyer posted
with his ALttP soundfont is showing up with the proper icon. It isn't being read as a notepad file
like yours is. Do you think you could try to upload a different configuration file?

I'm not sure what I can say?

I'm trying to write AZCEMS2 using a completely different driver, and all I can say is have patience. I honestly don't have the will to even begin combing that god forsaken configuration file for what the problem is anymore.

Writing that file was like pulling teeth, and I'll never EVER attempt to use timidity again.

Bassmidi is easier, you just plug the soundfont in and go. No ridiculous configuration files, no teeth pulling, no nothing.

I'm going to have this thread unpinned, and pray it dies. I really don't want to deal with timidity again.

I found this: www.un4seen.com

Do I have to buy bass before I can use bassmidi?

EDIT: removed the link because it automatically downloads

No, I replaced this thread with the BassMIDI thread, checkhere

You only have to buy BASS for commercial purposes, like if you're writing some commercial audio player, or you have a commercial game that needs an audio engine.

I didn't think there was a programming error, I just thought that there was some file conversion going on
when you saved or uploaded the file. Well, if you don't want to try re-saving/exporting and uploading the
file, I am currently installing BassMIDI.

Thats just it. The only thing that a timidity config file is, is a standard txt file with program instructions and a .cfg file extention. There is no converting anything.

How come when I try to install the Yoke 64-bit version, it says it was interrupted, when it's not? :\

Why don't you get BassMIDI? Its easier to set up. Midiyoke is ONLY if timidity doesn't show up in the midi picker program. Which only happens to be if you have other MIDI devices installed.

Ohhh, you made something new!
But, the directions look so confusing...I'll do it soon. Thanks Alestance icon_smile.gif

The instructions for using Timidity is a thousand times worse, trust me.
