I ended up coming out of that door.  I somehow obtained lv4 armor w/o collecting all of the skulls.  I have 7 so far. Have found all of the magic pots. Just need to find lv4 sword then off to final layer.  Nice quest but there are a lot of areas that don't run that smooth.

 

Also, do you need the flute/orcania to beat the final boss?  I do not have it.

i finished the Level 9 boss fight , but now how do i enter the world of darkness? And was I supposed to get the flute before the fight? It doesn't show in my inventory

You will not have the flute until you beat the game.

 

SoStaci, you need magic to enter the World of Darkness. You can find it in a temple that you couldn't get to before. Hint. Use the wand at the entrance.

This is undoubtedly the hardest and longest quest I've ever played, I'm surprised I have played 70+ game hours and just 21 deaths [22 hearts]

 

EDIT:Well I have the Magic Key...i pretty much have every item except the last 8 HCPs, the final sword, whatever that 'one item' is, and the slot between the wallet and flippers [i think it's the cross but i don't think there's any invisible enemies in this game from what I've seen, and of course I'm missing the flute but that's probably at the end.

 

EDIT 2:Beat the game, Vera didn't stand a chance against me. [i didn't even lose half my health] Got the good ending after a whopping 88 game hours [and 21 deaths, 22 hearts, still missing 7 HCP]

The lvl-2 bracelet is in turtle rock, you need to find a way up the mountain in the NW 1/9 of the world in order to reach the dark world. The torch (lens) helps find the way. There's a portail in the big lake in the middle of the world that leads to the level where the torch is. you'll need flippers.

There's a warp tile, behind some hammer pegs, in south titania that leads to the ancient library in the DW. The red tunic is in the frozen frontier ancient's pass, but you'll need to solve the rest of the ancient's pass to get to this point. Obtaining a skull key may open up previously locked doors in each level of the ancient's pass, which allows you to access warp tiles that take you to previously unreachable parts of other ancient's pass levels. In the process, you'll get those skulls you're missing. The gold tunic is in the church in the south of titania plains. You'll need the wand to open the door, plus the 8 skull keys from the ancient's pass to get the tunic.

 

Why can't get past the barrier to the temple of light? There might be a wierd scripting error, because I F6-saved out of the boss fight at the top of level-9? Is that boss fight winnable with just the wooden arrows, which means I need to go back? I had no problem getting past this barrier the first time I played through this quest, but I can't remember if I did anything differently. 

 

Figured it out, indeed this barrier is scripted to disappear. You need to keep on running through the motions with the boss at the top of level 9 until a scripted event occurs.

I'm stuck in the light dungeon in the exact same predicament as arieltap posted about (unlocked the map, boss key, compass, etc). I've found 5/6 keys, but wasted one of them on the chest that contained the compass, so now I can't open up the chest that contains the light arrows. It seems I can't get that last key that is out in the open on the spikes in the windrobe/red wizrobe room, because I don't have the light arrow to hit that switch. Is there a 7th key or what?

 

This is a game killing bug if one saves the game and can't revert.

Where does one find the key that opens up the door to this chest?

 

Any significance to this block puzzle? Solving it doesn't seem to do anything.

 

Ditto this screen. 3x of those blocks are moveable, but nothing seems to happen when I move them around.

 

What's the deal with the numbers and pink/purple trails on these screens?

The first picture is a trick. The chest holds nothing.

 

The second was for the way I used to have that room. The south door used to be a shutter. I got annoyed with it and just changed the door. I figured if I was getting annoyed, players would too.

 

The third has no significance.

 

The last is part of a puzzle I had originally for the last dungeon in the Realm of Darkness.

Each number shows you the order to push the block. The paths show you where to push. This is for the last room with stones. You can use the wand for a quicker result.
