What the title of the question says. I want to host a sever for me and a few others, but minecraft.net only has the Minecarft 1.8 sever files, and I don't know if they will work on a Minecarft 1.7.10 sever, so um.. will they?

 

(the reason being why I am asking this is that I don't want to upgrade to 1.8 yet)

(I hope this is the correct forum to ask this in)

 

So, after ALOT more searching, and going to fishy websites, I finally got the files I need.

 

The staff can lock/delete/nothing/whatever with this topic now.

Pretty sure they won't, but you should be able to get ahold of the files you need via a Google search.

I searched for about a half an hour on google, and found nothing. Also I figured out a way to test it, and the 1.8 files don't work. shitsndip23max.
