Difficult choice. Very difficult. Both were very solid, but in the end, Linkus won me over. I just felt his had a touch more and better variety. I do like the reversed houses in Sheik's shot though, those are neat and different. The waterfall at the top kind of bugs me, it seems the transition from river to waterfall is kind of off... but that's a minor complaint.

Only 2?! This is like having two kids hang from your arms, and you're only strong enough to lift up one! How can I choose? D:

I picked Linkus because it has more towny details and I like its layout and use of the hills.

Sheik's is pretty, but 4 spread-out houses is hardly a town. The vertical entrances are cool though, they were pulled off nicely.

I prefer the graphics here, but also: THE DETAILS. You've made the houses' size believable, and each one is different (chimneys, roofs, entrances,...).

 

Sheik's reversed houses are good and I like the map too.

Difficult choice... I ended up choosing Linkus, I'm not sure why, I just liked a a little more...

Voted for Sheik mainly because I'm not fond of Linkus' partially stone roof tiles. As unrealistic as it would be to have the whole thing made of stone, it would look more visually pleasing.

 

Also, what's the deal with the lack of NPCs in these towns? Is agoraphobia a big problem in Hyrule?

 

Edit: It just occurred to me that those could easily be wood shingles in which case it would make sense for the whole thing to be one color.

Linkus because the graphics are better and also the houses look more realistic. Sheik looks amazing too though!!

tough choice but I voted Sheik. As much as I love Linkus's map, the reverse houses and how the layout looks won me over. Kinda splitting hairs.
